
Bisson Wines were born in 1978, when Pierluigi Lugano, an art teacher and renowned sommelier, aware of the potential hidden in the rustic wines of Ligurian farmers, decided to embark on the “adventure” of enhancing the grapes of the Riviera Ligure di Levante.
It all began by purchasing small batches of grapes from local farmers and vinifying them in his own cellar, carrying out numerous experiments using modern winemaking techniques to better understand how to treat the local grape varieties.
From the Bisson winery in Sestri Levante, you can find Ligurian white wines such as Bianchetta Genovese, and red wines such as Ciliegiolo, both native varieties.
It is possible to take a guided tour of the Bisson Cellar in Sestri Levante, including a visit to the underground Caveau and a final tasting with local products.
